Marty Q - Table For 2

I have been a fan of Saxman Marty Q's brand of Smooth Jazz for a very long time - from his "Unspoken" collection and even 1997's "Sentimental Christmas" shows his mastery of the saxophone. As a local musician, his live performances are a pleasure to see and with his friendship notwithstanding, this talented New Englander deserves to be ranked alongside artists like Najee, Richard Elliot & George Howard. His new collection "Table For 2" brings him to those realms. The title track, written by Marty Q, "Table For 2" is already getting favorable reviews in the local press, gathering steam on Billboard and is currently in rotation on Rich Edwards "SmoothGrooves Radio Show" on GFM 96.6 FM in Gloucester, England. Producer Chris "Big Dog" Davis has put together a fine production of sweet sounding lush grooves, sprinkled with some neat vocals. My favorites being the stand-out "I Need You" featuring Phil
