Atmosphere Productions: Wedding Cake Cutting Dos and Dont's

The ceremonial cutting of the wedding cake is one of the longest-standing wedding traditions of them all.  This tradition is meant to symbolize togetherness – that is, it’s viewed as the first task that the married couple will do together.  Although some couples choose to forego this ceremonial act, it’s still widely practiced in weddings all across the US and elsewhere.  What follows are some basic do’s and don’ts associated with this ritual. - See more at: http://www.1motherofthebride.com/the-dos-and-donts-of-the-wedding-cake-cutting-tradition.html#sthash.ZJ2RY7pc.dpuf The ceremonial cutting of the cake is a long standing wedding tradition.  This tradition is meant to symbolize togetherness – that is, it’s viewed as the first task that the married couple will do together. Jaimie and Tom had made plans to have a traditional indoor Ceremony at The Lake of Isles long before the snow storm.  So all of our planning centered around coordinating the Ceremony with the Cocktail Hour and then moving smoothly into the Reception for dancing. The Mother of the Bride, Debbie was exceptional in helping with the details and made some wonderful suggestions, including music selections that proved to be right on the mark.  From our first discussions I knew it would be a pleasure working with Debbie in planning this wedding. Thanks! Jaimie and Tom's First Dance Song: Israel Kamakawiwo'le "Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World". Cake Cutting Song: Def L...
