The Cocktail Hour is normally the time after the wedding ceremony when the Bride and Groom are having photographs taken and the guests are able to relax and refresh with adult beverages and perhaps snacks. Instrumental jazz music generally works well, but the possible musical combinations are endless .  As a Connecticut Wedding DJ service, Atmosphere Productions have always requested suggestions from our Brides and Grooms.  Sometime it's a personal choice and still other times our clients have no preference and leave it up to us to make the selections. We keep in mind that your cocktail hour music should be in the background and should not overpower conversation. This is the time for your guests to mingle and get in the mood for the evening ahead. There is one irrefutable fact: Atmosphere Productions listens to their Bride and Groom's.  Tara and John made this abundantly clear from our first meeting - nothing cheesy, lots of FUN and dancing to their favorite 80's and 90's dance classics. Tara and John were introduced into the Farmington Club Clubhouse with a custom edit of Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel" and went into their First Dance Climax "I Love You".  With our optional dance floor lighting package, we spotlighted the First Dance which showcased Tara's beautiful wedding dress. Since dinner would be a more relaxed food stations, Tara and John wanted the music to compliment and allow guests to dance during dinner. So we have a packed dance floor....
