Planning Advice For Outdoor Weddings

Image
Many couples may dream of having outdoor weddings. This may be because of the fact that the warm sunshine and beautiful scenery help make them happier occasions. There are many places to hold them such as gardens, beaches, or in your yard. Hosting marriage ceremonies like these, however, requires careful planning, especially because the weather cannot be controlled. Here are some ways to go around that fact: On top of your list is the search for the best location possible. It is wiser to choose one that has both outdoor venues and indoor venues just to be on the safe side. If you get sunshine all throughout the celebration, fine. However, just in case rain starts falling, the event may be moved indoors. Renting a tent is also wise when heavy rains pour suddenly. Before deciding on the venue, make sure you understand first its rules, such as the number of guests covered, corkage fees for bringing alcohol, whether a sound system is free or has a charge for usage, etc. Some locations may ...

The Search For the Right Wedding Receptions - Some Tips

Image
Here’s some great advice from Albert Lee on researching that perfect location for your wedding reception. Most venues such as restaurants, gardens, parks, clubhouses, etc. are usually fully booked because of the practice of making advanced reservations.  This is frequently seen during popular wedding months such as December, June, and the likes. To avoid settling for what is left available, search for a location at least half a year away from the date of your marriage. Some people may even start looking and booking more than six months from their special day. Remember that marrying someone is supposed to happen only once, so holding the festivity in a place you and your partner do not like that much is a no-no. When viewing the sites you are considering, find out not only about the different packages and rates they may have, but also the specific services that come with your chosen package. Ask also about the percentage of deposit you need to have that special spot reserved....

Setting The Tone Of Your Event With The Right Cocktail Hour Music

Image
So exactly who wants to hear two hours of Kenny G music? Sure, there are those that want to set THAT tone, but you don’t have to play a “standard mix of jazz favorites” or boring “elevator music” at your wedding cocktail hour. Imagine how different things would feel at your wedding if during the Cocktail hour, we played a mix of recorded music by Jimmy Buffett, Shaggy, Bob Marley and Jack Johnson? What about some of those long lost hits of the 80’s – Katrina and the Waves, Eurythmics, Modern English , Prince, Culture Club. What about an hour of Spanish guitar music? Or a mix of Italian “mob hits” classics such as Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra? How about set more of a piano bar sing along style feel to social hour: KT Tunstall – Black Horse and The Cherry Tree, Stevie Wonder – Boogie On Reggae Woman, Uncle Cracker – Follow Me, Billy Joel – Piano Man and Elton John – Tiny Dancer. We recently ha...
