Once the wedding ceremony is over, you’ve officially begun a new life
together as husband and wife. Now the time has come to celebrate the

honeymoon gives you the chance to relax and wash all the pre-wedding
worries away. It’s also a time to enjoy each other’s company before
facing the harsh realities of married life.
Unfortunately, honeymoon planning is no walk in the park. Some couples even fight about which destination is right for the both of them. To spare you from the argument and help you agree, I’ve come up with a few things to consider when choosing a honeymoon destination.
Whether it’s going to be a snow-capped getaway or a Caribbean vacation, these pointers will help you make a decision.
1. Breathtaking view
Nothing inspires romance better than a scenic backdrop. A vast starlit sky? A beautiful sunset? Long stretches of powdery sand? A field of flowers? A snow-capped mountain? The Eiffel Tower? Pick the view you both like best. Then imagine you and your partner walking hand in hand against the picture perfect backdrop. Isn’t it romantic?
2. Superior accommodation
It’s your honeymoon. Instead of booking the local hostel, why not go for your dream accommodation? You deserve to stay fancy hotel or resort with stunning decor, over-the-top pools, and high level of service. Book a hotel that has a room with superior accommodations. Get a room with a jacuzzi or the best view. After all, this event is only a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.
3. Activities and excursions
Even for the most romantic honeymoons, couples still find room for fun and activities instead of staying completely inside their rooms. Whether playing golf, beach volleyball, hiking, scuba diving, and other water sports, choose a honeymoon destination that offers the ultimate experience for two.
4. Entertainment
Resorts or hotels that offer music and nightlife are better options than those that don’t. Choose the destination that gives you a mix of your favourite rhythms. Are you a fan of dancing? Book the place that has a nightclub with a wide dance floor.
5. Exquisite cuisine
On your honeymoon, indulge in upscale dining. Choose a destination that can can please even the most discriminating palette. After all, there will be plenty of time for take out when you get home and start your newlywed life. You must be sure though, that both of you aren’t allergic to the food served. For a romantic touch, have a candlelit dinner and a bottle of wine with your loved one. Some resorts have packages that includes romantic dinners by the sea.
6. Privacy
Ever since the wedding preparations began, you’ve barely shared quality time with your partner. Make sure you get to unwind, break free from hectic schedules and enjoy the uninterrupted time with your loved one. How? Rather than a tourist attraction, choose a destination that prioritizes your privacy. Without distractions, schedules, crowds, your vacation is all about you and your loved one.
