There are a lot of wedding superstitions (both good and bad), that are totally okay to ignore, or put your own special twist on if you choose!
 
We like the idea of "The First Look" - That moment when the groom sees his bride for the first time on their wedding day.  Nowadays, many photographers set this scene prior to the Ceremony.... just for the happy couple.... no guests, no parents, just an intimate, private moment before the actual Ceremony.


Back in the days of arranged marriages, couples did not have a clue what the other person looked like.  Brides and grooms were prohibited from seeing each other until the last minute so that the groom didn’t have the chance to change his mind, if the bride did not meet expectations.  The custom eventually turned into the idea that it was somehow unlucky for the groom to see his bride on their wedding day.

It's YOUR choice...... stick with tradition because you want the excitement and anticipation of seeing each other for the first time during the ceremony or scheduled your "First Look"  photo session together with your photographer before the ceremony.
