Who is Pantone? Why do they pick a color of the year?









Pantone got its start in 1963. Founder Lawrence Herbert created a system for identifying, matching and communicating colors for consistency across the print and textile design industries.













His initial work led to the Pantone Matching System, a book that standardized colors across these fields.









Pantone’s Color of the Year has influenced product development and purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including fashion, home furnishings, and industrial design, as well as product, packaging, and graphic design.









As a future bride or groom you may want to know what trends are popular so that you either jump on board for ease of purchasing decor, or know that you don’t want to follow the crowd, and choose another color suited to your personality. 









Danielle from BellaFoto Studios Photography in Westerly, RI. has seen a lot of coral in the past and think it pairs really well with beach weddings and country club weddings.  Also, Blue and pink, as well as  green and pink are almost opposite on the color wheel.  Therefore, when you see these combinations they photograph really well.

Consider the time of year for your wedding – Coral is an excellent color for spring and summer weddings. It’s vivid, bold and fun!
