Not A Fan Of Wedding Party Introductions? Then Just Skip It!









Wedding Party Introductions are the latest wedding event that couples are opting to skip at todays wedding receptions.













Why The Change?








Ultimately it’s up to the couple getting married, if the wedding party (including parents) will be introduced into the reception. Therefore, you need to decide on what’s your style?









It’s important that you identify the kind of entrance you want. Also, decide if the members of the wedding party are comfortable with each other and willing to be announced into a crowed room.









And that’s the reason many of our couples are skipping the wedding party introductions.









If you’ve been a bridesmaid before, you might just hate it. The parents may be divorced, separated or not on speaking terms. It may also be that the parents have remarried and you now have step-parents. The wedding party may just feel awkward, embarrassed and uncomfortable.









In that case, you should skip the wedding party introductions. Period! Remember, just a simple introduction of the couple is just fine. Plus, you can just go directly into your First Dance or toasts and speeches. Alternatively, no introductions at all, may also work for some couples.









So What Are The Alternatives?

  • Traditional Introductions: Include announcements of grandparents, parents and the entire wedding party. Typically one piece of music for the wedding party and a different piece for the couple.




  • Custom Introductions: Include announcements of grandparents, parents. The wedding party gets a different custom edit song for each couple and a different piece of music for the couple. Our website has a sample of a Custom Introduction.




  • Formal Wedding Party Introduction: Just an introduction of the wedding party and the couple. Either one piece of music for both or two different pieces of music




  • Casual Wedding Party Introduction: Introduction of the wedding party and couple just using First Names only. Either one piece of music for both or two different pieces of music.




  • Custom Casual Wedding Party Introduction: Introduction of the wedding party with a short bio for each person and a short intro of the couples love story.




You are not limited to these suggestions, but they should be used as a guide to selecting the option that best fits your situation. Each event is customized to your special needs, so please feel free to contact me to discuss you ideas.
