It’s the morning of your daughter’s Sweet 16 and the electricity goes out throughout the building where the party venue is located and there’s a good chance that it won’t come back on until the next day.  The chef thinks that the food will only last a few hours before it starts to spoil.  You have 130 guests getting on buses within several hours and over thirty people set to arrive to handle the entertainment for the event including a guest performer from California.

So where are you?  At home relaxing and getting ready for a family photo session.

In fact, you don’t even know any of this is happening because you’ve hired a seasoned party planner who is expertly managing ‘command central’ while on the phone making arrangements to switch locations if necessary.  In the end, the electricity goes back on only two hours before the party and you arrive to find breathtaking décor, vendors in place and food at the ready.

In fact, you’re oblivious to the whirlwind of activity stirring all around because you’ve hired an experienced party planner, one who is used to ‘grace under pressure’.  Large golf umbrellas are purchased, the caterer is relocated to the glassed-in porch, chairs for the ceremony are moved onto the dance floor while the photographer gets in a few great outdoor shots before the raindrops start falling.  One by one, the bridal party is escorted from the house under a canopy of umbrellas, as the wedding gets underway.  As the reception progresses and the wind and rain kick up with a vengeance, the party planner has taken planks of wood from the garage to lay over the mud, moved potted plants to fill in the gaping divots in the sod and positioned one of her staff with an umbrella so the guests won’t get wet going in and out of the tent to the rest rooms.  The reception is a success and you’ve enjoyed a once in a lifetime occasion, totally stress-free.
