Atmosphere Productions: Liisa and Jeff - September 2nd

Image
Our first wedding after Hurricane Irene saw us venture to Stonington in the South East corner of the State.  Even though many homes and businesses, in this area, remained without power, the Salt Water Farm Vineyard was fully operational for Liisa and Jeff's wedding reception. Salt Water Farm Vineyard centerpiece is the vintage hangar which doubles as ballroom and operational winery.  The renovated buildings second floor opens onto a terrace with a beautiful expansive view of the vineyards, tidal marshes, a cove and the Long Island Sound - it's a picturesque location for a wedding. The Bride & Groom arrived in classic convertible car to the welcoming smile of owner Michael Connery and then into cocktails outside on the terrace with the guests.  Off-site catering was provided by Liisa's uncle Joe Howard and the staff of Ann Howard at The Bond Ballroom . Liisa and Jeff's First Dance was "Fool For You" by John Butler Trio,  Father/Daughter Dance wa...

Atmosphere Productions: 16 Key Questions You Need to Ask Before You Choose an All-Inclusive Resort

Image
It’s easy to understand why all-inclusive resorts are so popular with honeymooners – they offer gorgeous beachfront locations, lots of available activities, and ease of budgeting (all costs are included upfront) – but the sheer number of all-inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean and Mexico can quickly become overwhelming. It definitely pays to do a little bit of advance research (and get some advice from your travel agent) to make sure you’re choosing the right all-inclusive resort for you. Naturally, you’ll want to choose a destination that fits your interests, and a resort that offers the amenities (and pricing) that you’re looking for, but there are some more subtle differences that you might not think to ask about. Here are some of the important nuances that can make the difference between a good honeymoon choice and a great one: Who is the resort aimed at? Is it couples-only? Adults-only (allowing singles and couples)? Are same-sex couples welcome? Is it family-...

Atmosphere Productions ~ Adding That Extra Touch Of Elegance

Image
Something that's often overlooked in a banquet room is those little touches that are not so noticeable but make an impact.  One suggestion is to add "something" to that empty area in the banquet room for your wedding. After you've set all the table numbers and have a specific guest count you might find that the arrangement of tables leaves an empty area.  No problem.  Ask you banquet room to add a couple of Bar Tables.  These are typically bar height with a 24-28 inch round table top usually found in a traditional English pub.  Drape with a white table cloth and wrap with a black sash or bow.... or use your imagination. By utilizing this space with bar height tables it will encourage your guests to mingle and use what would be a dead area.   It gives the room more depth and will look elegant in your pictures. As you can see Emily & Lance used this set-up for their wedding at The Bond Ballroom to great effect. Atmosphere Productions LLC...

Sometimes the stars align perfectly .....and just about everything works just the way they should.  It's times like these that makes me do what I do and it really doesn't feel like "work". Nicole and Jeremy became the beneficiary of this good fortune by selecting Fran from Fran Gagnon Films , Carrie from Carrie Draghi Photography and Michelle Ley Catering Manager from the Hartford Downtown Marriott . We often stress to our prospective Bride & Grooms that selecting the right combination of vendors is a crucial element of creating an unforgettable wedding reception.  Nicole and Jeremy, understood that the DJ, Photographer and Videographer need to work as a team... and because we have worked together on numerous past events, we work well as a team for the benefit of the Bride and Groom.
