Real Weddings: Katie and Jim - Pavilion at Crystal Lake

“DJ Sam was great! All of our guests have mentioned how they both loved the music selections and the flow of the reception. As he was getting set up I was getting ready to step out of the reception space and head down the aisle, he played “Going to the Chapel” as I was waiting to go out. It put a smile on my face! The Anniversary Celebration Dance

Image
Many of our clients have indicated their dislike of the Bouquet & Garter Ceremony or the lack of single guests at their reception.  ATMOSPHERE PRODUCTIONS has devised a suitable alternative, “The Anniversary Celebration Dance”. Here’s how it works: We will invite ALL married couples to the dance floor (including the Bride & Groom) and then play “Through The Years” Kenny Rogers, “Holding Back The Years” Simply Red or “Grow Old With Me” Mary Chapin Carpenter (it’s your choice…pick your favorite). After 30 seconds we will invite everyone who has been married for 5 years or less to move to the edge of the dance floor and start forming a circle with the Bride & Groom. We ask them NOT to sit down.  We will do this for 10, 15, 20 years etc. until we have the longest married couple in the center of the dance floor. At this point the Bride & Groom will present the Bouquet to the couple and the DJ will then ask the longest married couple for any advice for o...

Honeymoon Travel With Your Fine Jewelry

Image
Before you start selecting those amazing pieces from your jewelry box to go on your honeymoon – ask yourself this question…. Do you REALLY need them? My wife and I just celebrated our 25th Anniversary and treated ourselves to a trip “down under”…. Sydney, Australia.  My wife wanted to adorn herself and look good when we went out to dinner.  Which bracelet would match with this dress etc…. then we did some research. It seems like a lot of people lose their jewelry on vacations. Nothing ruins a vacation or honeymoon more than losing a sentimental piece of jewelry or a new engagement or wedding ring… and it happens more often than people realize.  We eventually decided to leave them securely at home but wanted to pass on these useful tips: Look at your existing jewelry insurance coverage to check whether it will be applicable if you take the pieces outside of your home state or country. If not, consider an additional plan or upgrade that will protect you from...

Every year, at least one of our couples, surprise us with something completely different and unique for their wedding reception.  Sarah and Gary certainly did.  From the Ceremony and Reception location to the music selections, Sarah and Gary wanted elegant and classy with a low key touch to the special events. The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony, under a tree on the 600-acre estate known as Candlelight Farms Inn, in New Milford, CT featuring majestic views, rolling hills, ponds, stone walls historic buildings… and did I mention the heliport? Sarah and Gary planned a much more casual affair, and surrounded themselves with close family and friends for their special day.  Atmosphere Productions provided an outdoor sound system during Cocktail Hour while guests played lawn games and children played in the garden. Sarah and Gary selected specific music for Dinner that reflected their musical style and taste (Gary is an accomplished tr...
