Atmosphere Productions: What Size Dance Floor?



Its amazing how many aspects of a wedding reception that are NOT taken into consideration by the Bride and Groom, when planning a wedding reception.  That's why you should always consider a professional entertainer like ATMOSPHERE PRODUCTIONS, who can answer your questions and give you expert advice.

With your dance floor, you want to ensure that everyone is comfortable and with ample space to dance.  Some dance floor rental companies recommend allowing aware from 3 to 5 square feet per dancing guest with an estimate of about 30-40 percent of your guests dancing at any one time.  These are recommendations only as dance floor space needs will vary with the type of dancing and room size.

Remember, bigger does NOT mean better with dance floors.  If the dance floor is too big no one will go on it because they will feel as if they are in the spotlight.  Smaller is sometimes better....
