Atmosphere Productions: Don't Forget Sound For Your Outdoor Ceremony
It's critically important that your outdoor ceremony have reliable sound reinforcement that allows ALL your guests to hear the officiant and the Bride and Groom. Remember, depending on the location, outdoor events are at the mercy of the elements, birds, passing vehicles and a myriad of other distractions.
We recommend that at least a lapel microphone attached to the officiant should be part of any outdoor ceremony system. We also like to have a wireless microphone for a Reader or Soloist.
Our sound systems set-up includes a speaker, mixing unit, Hard-drive music system
with back-up and microphones, all neatly packaged in a discreet system. And discreet is the key word... there is NO need for large two speaker systems on tripods that will undoubtedly distract your guests from what is supposed to be an intimate ceremony. We don't want to be in any of the photographers pictures, so we work on the principal of being "heard, but not seen."
Therefore, if your planning an outdoor Ceremony, with more than 25 guests, we strongly recommend that you NOT depend on a boom box or an iPod... get a professional sound system. It'll be a valuable enhancement to your Ceremony that your guests will remember for years to come.
