Choosing The Perfect Favors For Your Connecticut Wedding.

One of the nicest things about weddings is celebrating your love together with people who have loved you throughout your lives. Presenting your guests with wedding favors is a way to invoke fond memories of the event long after the wedding. Sure, you can toss some chocolates or Jordan almonds in a pretty box and call it good. But why not give favors that say something about you and your spouse, and where your life together began?


Nautical Themed Favors

If you’re getting married in Connecticut, especially near the water, consider giving your guests nautical themed favors from Mystic Knotworks. Something Practical

Be careful to choose plants that will thrive in the climate in which most of your guests live.


Charitable Donations

An increasing number of couples are choosing to honor their guests with a donation to a charity. Some, however, are uncomfortable with saying “In lieu of a favor, a donation has been made in YOUR name to OUR favorite charity.” A simple solution to this is to have cards at each place setting, telling guests that a donation will be made in their honor, and asking them to choose one of three to five charities to which their gift should be directed.


Popular options are local food banks, children’s hospitals, environmental charities, and animal shelters. There should be a decorative box prominently located for guests to place their cards in. It’s a sweet way to share the love not only with your guests, but with the world.
